In the 70 Franco Polti, invented a new professional iron for domestic use.

Since 1978 Polti has been producing Vaporella, the first steam iron with separate boiler for domestic use.

In 1982 Simac starts producing Stirella, a new steam ironing system with separate boiler.

Stirella has many characteristic qualities:
- stainless steeel boiler
- steam regulation
- vertical ironing
